MOHAMMAD AHSAN HABIB CHOWDHURY FCA
Managing Partner
Mohammed Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, FCA is the Managing Partner of Ahsan Atik & Co., Chartered Accountants. He is also Chairman of BuildOn Advisory Services Ltd. Mr. Chowdhury has an illustrious corporate career spanning 25 (Twenty-five) years with reputed MNC’s in home and abroad which included Coats Bangladesh Ltd, Perfetti Van Melle Bangladesh Ltd, Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) and Unilever Asia Private Ltd (Singapore).
Mr. Chowdhury received advance audit training on risk-based audits from UK and was specially trained on SoX audit techniques in home and abroad during his corporate stint in Unilever. During his audits in various international Unilever companies in Asia and Africa as corporate audit manager, Mr. Chowdhury had covered broad spectrums of business covering Finance, Supply chain including safety & quality, Taxation and Governance. He has vast knowledge and practical experience in designing and implementing Internal controls, risk-based audits program, corporate governance and SoX controls. Mr. Chowdhury has gathered comprehensive technical knowledge and practical experience in VAT, Income Tax and custom bond in his long corporate career. He has sound hands-on experience in Labor law, IR, LTA and remuneration management from his successful corporate careers.
Mr. Chowdhury is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh and M. Com (Finance) from University of Chittagong.
Prior to founding Ahsan Atik & Co., Mr. Chowdhury served Coats Plc, a leading UK based MNC as Finance Director for more than 6 years. Before joining Coats, he was CFO & Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs for Perfetti Van Melle, another European MNC in food industries. Mr. Chowdhury worked for Unilever in Bangladesh and Singapore for long 15 years in different capacities like Finance controller, Finance Manager, Corporate audit manager and Corporate Risk controller etc.

Kazi Atikuzzaman is a Founding Partner of Ahsan Atik & Co., Chartered Accountants, he is also a founding Director of BuildOn Advisory Services Ltd. Mr. Atik has got diverse skills and technical expertise working both locally & internationally, in telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, export-oriented textile industry and service sectors. He has hands on experience in designing accounting system, strategic planning, financial reporting, internal control, statutory audit, external financing, product costing, risk management and process improvements.
Mr. Atik is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh, he is also a Fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh.
Prior to founding Ahsan Atik & Co., Mr. Atik was working as Chief Financial Officer in Rangs Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and before that he was based in Sydney for almost five years while he served Allegis Group Australia to lead their finance and accounting team both for Australia and New Zealand business. Before moving to Australia, he served as Finance Manager in Coats Bangladesh (global leader in thread industry) and worked in various capacities both in Avery Dennison (a fortune 500 company) and a telecom company Airtel Bangladesh.

of Laws from National University. - He is currently pursuing chartered accountancy at ICAB and already completed the Certificate Level.
MD ASHIKUR RAHMAN

- Mr. Ashik is a seasoned tax professional with over eight years of extensive and practical experience in taxation areas. , Mr. Ashik worked for leading Chartered accountancy firms and Big4 consulting firm in Bangladesh before joining ShopUp as taxation manager.
- During his tenure at EY and A. Qasem his portfolio of clients included Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Branch Office), Bangladesh Honda Limited, YKK Bangladesh Pte. Ltd. among several others.
- His domain of expertise encompasses tax compliances, tax planning, tax assessment and appeals, tax advisory, DTAA, and personal income tax.
- Mr. Ashik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Finance & Accounting from North South University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting & Information Systems from Dhaka University, and is currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy.
